Patrick English

Patrick English joined Exbo Group in 2025 as a Senior Analyst and was promoted to Senior Associate by year-end. On the Transaction Services team, he has advised on more than 50 buy-side and sell-side transactions for private equity, venture capital, and growth investors, with a focus on software and technology businesses. His work spans the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

Patrick supports clients from the first look at a target through close. He leads financial due diligence and quality of earnings engagements, advises on deal structure, including indebtedness and net working capital mechanics, and works alongside deal counsel on purchase agreement terms and financial definitions.

He has also played an active role in building out Exbo’s European practice. On cross-border deals, he works through local accounting standards, multi-currency reporting, and multi-jurisdiction entity structures so U.S. and European buyers see the business on a consistent basis. His technical experience includes ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-entity engagements, and cash to accrual conversions.

Patrick began his career in audit at KPMG in the Banking and Capital Markets practice, where he supported a client through its NYSE IPO and helped expand the firm’s service offerings for digital asset businesses.

Patrick received his B.B.A. with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Ross School of Business, and his M.S. in Accounting from the University of Virginia. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the NYSED.
