Joanna Briand

Joanna Briand joined Exbo Group in 2022. She supports buy-side private equity and venture capital clients through the full lifecycle of the acquisition process. During her time at Exbo Group, she has worked on a multitude of deals, including Aquiline Technology Growth's investment into Helcim— a payment facilitator based out of Alberta, Calgary. In addition, she worked on Fullsteam's investment into VineSpring— an e-commerce platform built for breweries and wineries. 

Prior to Exbo, Joanna worked as a Senior Associate at KPMG where she provided compliance services to Asset Management with a client base consisting of Hedge and Private Equity funds. She gained experience examining financial statements and fund trade information to verify treatment of income earned by funds. 

For her undergraduate degree, Joanna attended the University of Richmond and received a BS in Business Administration. She officially received her CPA in 2021 from New York State. Outside of work, Joanna enjoys playing golf, reading on the beach, watching Survivor with friends, rooting for the New York Mets & Giants with her family, and everything to do with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
