Jacob Schafer
Jacob Schafer joined Exbo Group in 2026 and is a Senior Associate on the CFO & Controllership Advisory team. In this role, he advises venture- and growth-backed companies on building and maintaining operating models and provides strategic financial support for key decisions and fundraising initiatives.
Prior to joining Exbo Group, Jacob focused on growth strategy and operations at Magma Math, an AI-based K-12 math software provider, where he led the execution of a $40M Series A. Before Magma Math, Jacob was an Investment Banking Analyst at TripleTree, Capital One’s healthcare technology and services investment bank, where he advised on buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions for companies with $100M to $500M in enterprise value. Jacob began his career at Deloitte as a Derivatives and M&A Analyst, where he built Monte Carlo simulations and lattice models to value complex securities including SPACs, convertible notes, warrants, and earnouts for Fortune 500 and leading private equity portfolio companies.
Jacob earned his BA in Honors Economics from The University of Toledo and an MS in Quantitative Finance from Boston College. In his free time, he enjoys staying active, traveling, playing billiards, and visiting museums.
