Scaling Infusion Care: How Exbo Group Supported Uptiv Health's Metro Detroit Expansion

Uptiv Health, a Novi, Michigan-based specialty infusion provider delivering human-centered care for patients with complex conditions, has opened its third Metro Detroit infusion center, expanding beyond its original locations in Troy and Westland. The company has grown revenue four times year-over-year from 2024 to 2025 and reports a 98 patient Net Promoter Score across its network.

“We believe infusion care should feel fundamentally different from today's cold, sterile community settings - and we've built a model that proves it can. With our new funding, we are ready to offer this winning concept to more patients across the country,” said Torben Nielsen, CEO of Uptiv Health.

As Uptiv scaled from a single clinic to a multi-location network, it brought in Exbo Group for CFO, controllership, and tax support. Exbo embedded accounting and strategic finance resources to translate Uptiv's clinical operations into financial metrics and reporting, established the company's first formal board reporting cadence, and built clinic-level tracking to monitor ramp and breakeven timing at each new location. A weekly cash flow tracker gave leadership visibility into drug distributor outflows against patient and payor collections, and scenario planning supported decisions around new clinic buildouts, market expansion, and in-house pharmacy operations.

The engagement supported successful debt and equity financing, informed by Exbo's valuation comparables, dilution analyses, and diligence work, and contributed to improved working capital visibility that helped Uptiv negotiate more favorable drug distributor terms while reducing days sales outstanding on patient and payor collections from 80 to 45 days.
